The Competency Framework

How was myown360 created?

The myown360 tool has two core elements; the myown360 competency framework and a web-based application which enables the user to select competencies and create a unique feedback questionnaire before inviting feedback from a number of people.

The myown360 competency framework has been informed by 20 years’ experience of developing training programmes and bespoke competency frameworks for individual, organisations and roles.

The approach we adopted to develop the framework was a combination of thinking from first principles and examination of lots of individual organisational frameworks and literature.

As a result, we have created a competency framework which is:

  • Intellectually rigorous
  • Highly face-valid
  • Comprehensive
  • Expressed in simple, straightforward language
